The 10 Indian Commandments

  1. Treat the Earth and all dwells therein with Respect.
  2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
  3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
  4. Work together for the benefit of all humankind.
  5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
  6. Do what you know to be right.
  7. Look after the well-being of mind and body.
  8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
  10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

What these amendments mean to me is that some of this is true but some parts aren’t. Me i will personally respect  anyone that respects me in return regardless of their age or color. I am the type of person that is friendly but once you get to my bad side you're out. I don’t believe in working together because at a certain point everyone once talked behind your back without you knowing. I am sometimes am truthful but if i’m sometimes think of it, who else wouldn’t. That's why this world is so messed up and full of lies. I take my responsibilities somewhat serious because i know nobody else is going to do it but me. Which is why i have trust issues. These commandments relate to me because these thing don’t just go out to me it goes out to everyone. And who knows if everything went this way this world wouldn’t be so messed  up and full of lies. Because nowadays friends will be the ones to hurt you and still ask you if you're okay with them knowing that they messed up.

“A promise must never be broken.”
      ~Alexander Hamilton

This quote is saying that a promise should never be broken but it's true if you say you're going to do something you have to do it no matter what comes in the way of that, because if you don’t do it you will have set a bad reputation and you will become a liar and always be known for that wherever you go. Furthermore don’t make promises you can’t keep because you only have your word which is the only thing you have and they are trusting you to fulfill that word and if you don't they most likely will not trust you more the hardest thing to learn from somebody is there trust and loyalty because people nowadays are very deceitful because it's near the end of time and the wicked one is taking over.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
  ~Henry David Thoreau

What i think this quote is trying to say is that when you do good a lot it will never fail you you will always get something in return like a feeling that you’ve done something right. Henry David was an American author, poet, philosopher, abolitionist, naturalist, tax resister, development critic, surveyor and historian and i'm sure this man knows what is right this man fought for people right he took a stand. What this man is trying to say that if you do something good you will get something good in return and you will always feel good about it.

Furthermore don't take the easy way out do what is right don't cheat when you can play fair because it always comes back to you in the end. “Character is Higher than Intellect.”
   ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

This means that to have a good character is way better than to know everything. Although knowledge help you to have a good character is above all because if you have a bad attitude and you’re the smartest you would be nothing due to your character which makes you the person that you are. To have a good character means that you will do everything you can to help others around you and you will always be in your best possible behavior over all the person you are is what matters because at the end you show character and everyone shows their different strengths of intelligence. Although once in awhile students are labeled by their intelligence, they are usually labeled by their character that shows and the attitude used to interact with others in the everyday lifestyle.

“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
  ~Abraham Lincoln

What Abraham Lincoln is trying to clarify is that it he will stand with you if you are right but he will not if you are wrong. Furthermore Lincoln was a president of the United States of America Lincoln was killed because of what he believed in lincoln wanted to end slavery. Is either you're alive of what you don't believe in and dead for what you do. Abraham Lincoln always chose the right and great example of someone doing the right thing this was a kind and honest man he fought for what he believed which had inspired many across the globe. He will forever be in our history as we continue to read about to our kids.

“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
 ~George Mitchell

I think that cheating is wrong because somebody has worked so hard for what you cheated for you ruin it for everybody. Later on it catches up to you and for the rest of your life you're going to be known for a cheater and your reputation is ruined. Cheaters ruin all the fun for everyone because they don't play fair. When you cheat you're not only ruining it for others but you’re also ruining it for yourself because if you cheat off of someone else on a test you are not learning it, you'r cheating and later on that's going to affect you. When all you have to do is study, do all your homework, come to school everyday, and be respectful. You don't have to cheat that's not the right thing to do.
